A high standard of personal appearance is expected of all students and any student arriving in non-uniform clothing may expect to be sent home to dress appropriately and return to school.

  • Hair must be worn in a style appropriate for school and hair colour must be natural.
  • Make up is not permitted in school.
  • We do not allow jewellery to be worn in school (other than a watch and one pair of small, plain gold or silver stud earrings, one in each lower ear lobe not in any other part of the ear). Any other jewellery worn in school will be confiscated for the rest of the term. This includes all chains and rings. 
  • Nose or tongue studs are NOT permitted, nor are any other types of body piercing.
  • Nail varnish or other forms of nail decoration including gel nails are not permitted.
  • Coats and other outdoor clothing may not be worn in the school buildings.
  • Students must wear suitable shoes in school at all times.
  • Hoodies are not permitted.
  • In colder weather a plain white round or V neck T-shirt may be worn under the shirt or blouse.
  • No additional adornments of any kind should be worn on the uniform.

Boy's Uniform
Black school blazer with woven pocket badge – worn correctly*
Black tailored trousers (regulation style, no skinny fit trousers or jeans)
Plain white shirt with collar – to be worn tucked in with top button fastened and cuff button secured
Fitted short sleeve white shirt with Chancellor’s crest, summer term only (Optional)
School tie – worn to the waist and knot at the collar
Black “V” necked pullover – to be worn under blazer (Optional)
Black sensible school shoes – black stitching only, no trainers/boots/casual variations
Black socks only

Those items marked * - that conform to a specific design and colour for Chancellor’s - MUST be purchased from one of our main suppliers, namely Smarty Schoolwear or Smith’s Schoolwear.

Chancellor’s provide an excellent recycling service to the school, by selling GOOD QUALITY second hand uniform. For more information, click HERE.

Parents are very welcome to donate items by handing them into the school office, in a suitable bag, labelled for the attention of 'PTA Second Hand Uniform' throughout the year.


Summer School Uniform

  • Students are permitted to wear a short-sleeved shirt with the school logo on the pocket without a blazer. 
  • Shirts must be tucked in at all times
  • Students are not required to wear a tie
  • If a long/short-sleeved shirt is worn with a tie, students must wear their blazer. 
  • If students, choose to wear their blazer then a tie must be worn at all times. In the event that students remove their blazer then they must also remove their tie
  • Blazers should be worn instead of jumpers - Jumpers must only be worn if students are wearing a blazer
