Post 16 Tuition Fund 2021-2022
The Post 16 Tuition Funding from the ESFA for the 2021-22 academic year is ring-fenced to support small group tuition for students on 16 to 19 study programmes who did not achieve Grade 5 or above in English or Maths GCSE by age 16 and have had their learning disrupted due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Chancellor’s will use the Post 16 Tuition Funding to support identified students whose academic progress and wellbeing has been affected by the impact of the current pandemic.
To help mitigate the impact of the pandemic on student wellbeing, and to ensure that students have a successful experience of A Level study, those identified to be eligible for the Post 16 Tuition Funding will receive one-to-one mentoring by a member of the sixth form pastoral team. During the Spring Term, dedicated tutors will use the VESPA programme and coaching questions to help students maintain or increase their motivation and effort. Where applicable, students will receive guidance on the UCAS process and the steps they have to take to help them write strong personal statements.
