Chancellor's Champion
Robert Clark 10H & Alexandria Solomou 10A - Nominated by: Mrs Hearn
Robert & Alexandria both excelled in their external GCSE Chemistry paper achieving 100% and an A* each. Mrs Hearn said “It has been very rewarding watching both these outstanding scientists growing in their knowledge and understanding and to see that their hard work has paid off. It is particularly impressive that both these students are in Year 10 and sat their exams alongside Year 11 pupils.”
As part of our move towards ‘Achieve.Enjoy. Excel.’ we have decided to introduce
the idea of a Chancellor’s Champion. Any member of the school staff, teaching or support staff may nominate any pupil for this award. The only criterion is that the pupil has done something to merit recognition under any aspect of the motto. This may include work done in class, but equally it could be to do with an action of public spiritedness, thoughtfulness, or general helpfulness. The item is most likely to have occurred in school, but not exclusively so. I will judge the nominations and each week a Chancellor’s Champion will appear in the Headteacher’s Newsletter and on the school website. At the end of the year, we plan to have a ‘Champion of Champions’.
